OKay, not really, but it has been since forever since I posted. So tonight, I click on my own link from my FB profile (I know, so lame right?) and there is a comment on my last post. Well, it was Brian...and hence the "No post since 2008? C'mon!" added to the fact that his blog is the greatest, well.....I feel I must oblige him and at least say hello!:)
So.........in nutshelll.......
the letter came back with a "yes, we will drop your bad grades from NC State" and get this-I even got a refund! From TEN YEARS AGO! How is that for an answered prayer!
Also, ran into a friend...tell her my latest school saga....tell her what I will major in at State (if I get in) and she says she has a job for me!
Chop's closes 1/4/2009. I have an interview that Friday, and BAM-I have a new job with a local Engineering firm. I work with the Funding Assistant putting grants together for municipalities, on behalf of the towns/cities/counties that need assistance.
2009 seems to be the year.......I got a new job, we are DEBT free and saving up! Yahoo!
Then..........Chad gets furloughed at work-down to four days! But, we will not let this get us down! He quit smoking 3/1.....and on that same day, we both began exercising-EVERYDAY! And I set a new rule-since he quit, I denied myself ANY food (not even a slivered almond) after supper. So far, I have not lost weight (he hasn't either) but I have lost in the waist size, and that is what matters!! I am even sleeping better! It feels GREAT!
So........that is my story, and I am sticking to it! I applied to State a few weeks ago, transcripts are in.....there is nothing else to do. My one online class is going well, and I am beginning to take classes towards the Non-Profit Management Certification through Duke.
And yes, I still dream that one day I will own beach property-whatever keeps me going right?:)
